ITREB in collaboration with the Mwanza division of the Crisis Response Team (CRT) conducted a “shake-out” drill for all Baitul Ilm students to create awareness among the students on how to respond to an emergency situation in the event of earthquake.
The students learned about creating an emergency assembly area and the necessary steps to be taken at when this type of emergency occurs. CRT member, Mr. Rahim Jivraj said the drill was very successful and that it will be carried out on regular basis in order to familiarise the students with various emergency procedures.
