WAP, Elderly and AKHB – Physical and Chair Exercise

Regular exercise is one of the most essential things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of all types of diseases, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.

The Women’s Activity Portfolio, Seniors/Elderly Portfolio, and Aga Khan Health Board Mwanza are conducting Physical Exercise and Walking to Wellness every Monday and Tuesday for members of the community of all ages.  Also, every Wednesday, there are chair exercises for the senior members of the Jamat.

Invitations were extended to other Asian communities to participate in the physical activities and chair exercises mentioned above.  They participate regularly and appreciate the invite.

The activities mentioned above also give rise to opportunities for social interaction and gathering.
