ITREB – EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT – Celebrating Young Minds!

As part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing young minds and celebrating the joys of parenthood, Early Childhood Development recently hosted special sessions in honour of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, World Book Day and Mother’s Day.

Ramadhan Calendar

The Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) introduced the Ramadhan Calendar, a daily activity calendar designed to engage children in the spirit of Ramadhan. The Ramadhan Calendar included engaging arts and crafts activities and lessons on the importance of giving. Through collaborative efforts like preparing iftar meals and creating decorations, they not only learnt about the rituals of Ramadhan but also fostered a sense of unity and brotherhood of our faith. This initiative aimed to foster a sense of community, spirituality, and cultural appreciation amongst our young learners.

World Book Day: Capturing the Wonder of Reading

The energy was infectious as our Early Childhood Development (ECD) kids delved into the enchanting world of stories during our caterpillar-themed session. Their faces lit up with curiosity and delight as they immersed themselves in tales of adventure, creativity, and exploration. Alongside engaging Playdough activities, we hosted an interactive storytelling session featuring the timeless classic “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle, igniting their imaginations and nurturing a lasting passion for reading. Each student received a Literacy Activity pack at the end of the session, and digital certificates were awarded to children who completed these activities.

Mother’s Day: Cherishing Bonds in Mommy & Me Sessions

In celebration of Mother’s Day, we cherished the beautiful bond between mothers and their little ones. Our Mommy & Me sessions were filled with laughter, hugs, and moments of pure love. It was heartwarming to see mothers and children connect through the canvas activity and shared experiences, creating memories that will be cherished forever. During the sessions, we read the touching book “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch, which beautifully captured the essence of maternal love and tenderness.

At ECD, we believe in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported, and where families can come together to celebrate special moments. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that each session is thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. Their creativity and commitment transform these activities into unforgettable experiences for both children and parents. We are grateful for your continued support in making these moments possible.

Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us create meaningful experiences for our ECD kids. Stay tuned for more updates and stories from our journey together.
