Baytul Ilm students have had a busy year. From in class activities, to assemblies, to field trips to parental engagement sessions, teachers and students have been very busy learning about Allah’s Creation, our history while on a journey with Hoopoe; learning about various family, cultural and religious festivals, Islamic literature, how the AKDN plays a role in our daily lives and how history and our heritage teach us how to live today.
On May 18th, Baytul Ilm students from grades 1-6 shared with the Jamat, a Celebration of Learning. Students had the opportunity to showcase all their years’ worth of learning in the form of models and displays. Evening religious education centers from Upanga and Chan’gombe also shared their work from their classes. During this event the grade 6 students had a double celebration as they graduated to the STEP program.
