In a celebration of new beginnings and the vibrant beauty of nature, the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board hosted the Navroz Art Fiesta, an immersive art exhibition launched on the auspicious occasion of Navroz. Open to the jamat for viewing from 21st March to 28th March 2024, this exhibition provided a unique platform for artistic expression and cultural reflection.
Navroz Art Fiesta delved deep into the intricate and captivating beauty of nature, inspired by the profound words of Mawlana Rumi.
“If the foot of the trees were not tied to earth, they would be pursuing me…for I have blossomed so much, I am the envy of the the gardens.”- Rumi.
This quote served as the guiding light for the exhibition, encouraging participants and viewers alike to explore and appreciate the natural world through art.
The exhibition featured a diverse range of media, including paintings and sculptures, each piece evoking a profound appreciation for the natural world. The artworks also prompted contemplation on the delicate balance between preservation and transformation, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship.
A total of 55 Jamati members, ranging in age from 6 to 50 years, registered and participated in the Navroz Art Fiesta. These talented individuals competed in various categories, showcasing their unique interpretations of nature’s beauty and the spirit of Navroz.
