The Economic Planning Board (EPB) for Tanzania is thrilled to share the success of our EPB programs this year:
Introduction to Entrepreneurship: Held in April at the Aga Khan Mzizima Sports Centre, Jamati members participated in an educational session on entrepreneurship. The session covered key business elements, such as opportunity identification, market trends, financial requirements, and legal considerations. A five-day follow-up entrepreneurship program workshop was held from September 5th to September 11th, 2023, offering a more in-depth exploration of entrepreneurship with practical insights and hands-on experiences.
Eid Bazaar: EPB, in collaboration with the Women’s Activities Portfolio, organized a vibrant and exciting Eid Bazaar for the Jamat, which was held at the Diamond Jubilee Complex in May. It provided a unique platform for home-based entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and connect with the Jamat. This initiative not only showcased the incredible talents within our community but also offered a chance for our members to discover and support each other’s businesses.
Graphic Design Course: Participants between the ages of 16 to 60, hailing from diverse backgrounds, including students, professionals, and individuals joined us for a graphic design course to enhance their design skills. The course provided a comprehensive understanding of design principles, tools, and techniques.
Salama Bonds: The successful Salama Bonds presentation, a collaborative effort by EPB and Salama Microfinance Ltd. (SML), took place across four sessions from September to November, aimed to raise the awareness of investment opportunities in government bonds with secured returns. We extend our gratitude to all participants and the directors for their contributions to the success of the presentations. We encourage ongoing dialogue and engagement within our community to further enhance financial literacy and well-being.
